Meta made an important announcement in late 2023 on the transfer of Instagram and Facebook to a new API version. This update included modifications to data permissions, notably affecting the retrieval of demographic information in historical reports.

If you've observed that your annual reports missing critical demographic data such as the best country, location, or gender/age information, the fundamental cause is due to Meta's API modifications. The transfer to the new version limits the retrieval of past demographic data, making it only available from the present date onward. Connecting your Instagram account to Slidebeast today may result in empty demographic sections for reports from last year.

To address this issue, a straightforward solution is available. When generating reports, ensure that the date range includes today's date. This adjustment bridges the gap created by the API changes, allowing you to retrieve a complete set of demographic information.
